Understand If You Are Impact Zone’s Ideal Client
The person and company who understand that results online take real effort and time. There are no gimmicks, no hard sales pitches, and no short cuts. Just plain old boring hard work.
If you want “black hat” work or quick fixes, go elsewhere.
Founder Jewel Ward has had two goals: (1) to connect people, information, and businesses, and (2) to do great work. This is what drives her to wake up and show up to work each day.
History of Impact Zone Consultancy
Founder Jewel Ward began editing websites in 1995. Over the years, she thought about starting her own business around her online skills. The time never seemed right.
Instead, she did freelance and consulting work on the side as she worked. One day in 2007, she was trying to find the right theme for her WordPress site.
She had time to build content, but not the theme itself. She kept finding one web designer after another, selling their poor quality, poorly designed themes. She lost it.
She wasn’t selling her own work because she knew enough to know her own limitations and…people were making a living selling muck.
She knew she didn’t want to sell websites, but she did want to help people build better websites. She founded Agaliha Information Design that same year.
Jewel was working on her PhD., and almost dropped out to found her own business. But again, the time wasn’t right. She stayed in the PhD. program.
Still, when other students were pondering their pedagogy, Jewel was trying to figure out how to sell Information and Library Science services to businesses, and make a profit.
Instead of leaving the program, in 2009 she created the blog, TamingData.
Fast forward to 2014, when a supposedly professional and expensive web design company delivered an expensive stink bomb of a website to a friend.
Again, Jewel lost it. Yet again, people were selling muck and this time, it was one time too many. At last, the time was right to found a business and in September 2014, Jewel created Impact Zone.
Over the course of building this company, she found a way to sell Information and Library Science services to clients globally by selling SEO and digital stewardship.
